This residence is designed for a retired professor and violinist who have been married for several years. In their spare time, they enjoy relaxing and entertaining. The design is inspired by Napa, a Northern Californian county known for its hundreds of hillside vineyards in the Napa Valley wine region. Because it is important to capture the clients' casually refined lifestyle, this design utilizes a combination of high end and natural elements to embody the elegant yet rustic feel that is displayed in a typical vineyard home.
Originally constructed in 1949, this example of mid-century architecture was redesigned in Winter 2019 to become "Beans Coffee & Tea." This cafe is a bright and sunny environment located in a small town in California. The surplus of tables and sofas create a friendly setting in which all are welcome to take a seat and enjoy an airy setting. This design features an opening that looks directly into the kitchen so customers can watch the employees at work. Here at Beans, there is no such thing as "Just one cup."
